Ruppersberger Endorses Van Hollen For Maryland Senate Race

(Timonium, MD) – On MondayCongressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger, who represents portions of Baltimore City and Baltimore County, endorsed Congressman Chris Van Hollen to succeed Barbara Mikulski in the U.S. Senate.

Ruppersberger, who was born and raised in Baltimore, is confident that Van Hollen is the best candidate to represent Baltimore in the Senate.

“Chris has roots in Baltimore. I believe he understands our region’s unique challenges, needs, and resources. And when it comes to issues facing Baltimore families, Chris will be doing what he does best — working with others to deliver results,” said Congressman Ruppersberger. “Senator Mikulski has championed the City of Baltimore and the entire region for decades. There is just one candidate for Senate who can carry on Senator Mikulski’s legacy and get things done for Maryland and the Baltimore region. That candidate is Chris Van Hollen.”

“I’m very proud to receive the endorsement of Dutch Ruppersberger. He is a national leader — but he never forgets that his number one job is to deliver for the people of Baltimore,” said Chris Van Hollen.
