Ruppersberger Pledges to Continue to Make Creating Jobs and Rebuilding Maryland’s Economy Top Priorities

(Timonium, Maryland) – Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger handily won the Democratic Primary for Maryland’s 2nd Congressional seat. Congressman Ruppersberger won with 74% of the vote from the residents of Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Harford County, and Baltimore City.

“I would like to thank all of the people who voted for me in the Democratic Primary. I am honored and humbled to be your nominee for the General Election in November. I pledge to continue to make creating jobs and rebuilding Maryland’s economy top priorities. When you have a job, you can support your family and your community. In Congress, we must continue to pass legislation that gives business incentives to create jobs, hire Americans, and buy equipment,” said Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD). “Through my service on the Intelligence and Appropriations Committee, I am also focused on keeping our country safe, preserving the Chesapeake Bay, strengthening our education system, ensuring seniors have access to affordable prescription drugs, taking care of our active military personnel and veterans, and funding road and transit improvements.”

The General Election in Maryland is Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
