Ruppersberger Voted Today in Towson and Urges Marylanders to Get Out and Vote

(Towson, Maryland) – Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) today took advantage of Maryland’s new Early Voting law and cast his ballot for the General Election today in Towson. Today is the last day of Early Voting in Maryland. The Congressman urges Marylanders to take advantage of the new law and get out and vote.

“Usually, I encourage people to vote on Election Day, but this year, I am encouraging citizens to vote before Election Day. You can vote tonight until 8 p.m. at an Early Voting Center right in your county or city,” said Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD). “You can vote today when it is convenient for you. If something comes up on November 2nd, Election Day, you will already be all set and ready to go. We hope Early Voting makes it easier to your to exercise your civic duty and vote.”

In a statewide referendum in 2008, Maryland voters approved a Constitutional Amendment allowing early voting to make it more convenient for Marylanders to vote. Today is the last day of Early Voting before the General Election on Nov. 2. Early voting centers will be open until 8 p.m. Anyone in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
