Ruppersberger: “Gather up Your Friends, Family, and Neighbors and Get Out the Vote”

(Timonium, Maryland) – Primary Election Day is Tuesday, September 14, 2010, in Maryland. Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) encourages all Marylanders to exercise their civic duty and vote on this Election Day.

“Gather up your friends, family, and neighbors and get out the vote. We are facing tough times all across our country, but your vote is important as we work to get our country moving forward. I pledge to continue to work to create jobs and improve the Maryland economy while also fighting for better benefits for seniors and veterans, protecting the environment, improving education, funding critical infrastructure improvements, and keeping our country safe,” said Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger, a Member of the House Appropriations and Intelligence Committees.

“When you have a job, you can support your family and your community. America is starting to come out of the worst recession in half a century. In Congress, we must continue to pass legislation that gives business incentives to create jobs, hire Americans, and buy equipment. I am also focused on keeping our country safe, preserving the Chesapeake Bay, strengthening our education system, ensuring seniors have access to affordable prescription drugs, taking care of our active military personnel and veterans, and funding road and transit improvements.”
