Sierra Club Endorses Dutch Ruppersberger
Timonium, Maryland - Dutch Ruppersberger's commitment to bringing back a healthy Chesapeake Bay, making our air safe to breathe, and preserving and protecting open spaces, forests, farmlands and wetlands has once again brought the endorsement of the Sierra Club for the 2004 election cycle.
"I am proud to have the endorsement of the Sierra Club. The support of their membership is especially important since Maryland's 2nd Congressional District has over 200 miles of shoreline on the Chesapeake Bay", said Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger.
"Both national and local Club activists join me in extending the Sierra Club's support for your campaign, in light of your demonstrated commitment to protecting America's environment", said Scott Taylor, Sierra Club Political Committee Chair, in the Club's endorsement letter to the Congressman.
The Sierra Club helps pro-environment candidates win elections and keeps environmental issues at the forefront of America's concerns. Their website is Maryland.SierraClub.org
