Dutch Ruppersberger meets with Muammar al-Qadhafi

Timonium, MD - Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger has returned from a trip to Libya as part of a Congressional delegation to encourage the Libyan president to keep his promise to destroy weapons of mass destruction and renounce support for terrorism. After meeting with President Qadhafi, the delegation headed to Iraq and Afghanistan to assess U.S. intelligence efforts.

The delegation left on February 12, 2004 and included Representatives Dutch Ruppersberger, Jane Harman (D-CA), James Gibbons (R-NV), Peter Hoekstra (R-MI), John Sweeney (R-WA), and Robin Cleveland, a national security specialist.
